Camp Rental Information

Rates

Camp rental is by the week only for Deer (except muzzle loader) and moose seasons.

Daily rental requires a three night minimum.

Trash must be taken out when you leave, as there is no trash service in the North Maine Woods system.

When dogs are in camps for extended periods of time and overnight they must be kenneled and they are prohibited from sleeping on beds and furniture.

Rates

The camps are provided with:

  • Propane gas for lights and cooking
  • Dishes, utensils and pot and pans
  • Spring nearby for water and water jugs
  • No refrigerators, but ice is available
  • Wood stove for heating

  • Dish towels & dish soap
  • Bath towels
  • Sleeping bags
  • Paper goods and garbage bags
  • Spices
  • Coolers
  • Get all your food and beverages before leaving Portage, Maine
  • Please bring some ice with you as well.

Fees not covered in prices:

  • Maine Hunting and Fishing Licenses (may be obtained from www.mefishwildlife.com or write to Maine Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Dept., 284 State St., 41 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333-0041, Phone 207-287-8000)
  • North Maine Woods Gate fee $25.00 per person (paid at gate)

Booking Policy

We require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to hold your spot. Northern Hideaway operates on a small scale and for a very limited season. We have to operate at full capacity in order to be able to provide our guests a quality experience and allow us to be in business from year to year.

If you cancel before your trip that means that someone could have been her in your place and it also means that we are out part of our operating cost. We will roll your deposit over for the following year but we can not do it for any longer than that.
